Why care about Formula 1?

It does matter if we win or lose

Who cares about Formula 1? Red car versus a yellow car. What's the point?

But now, my family has watched Drive to Survive on Netflix. And now, we care.

Formula 1 cars are more than coloured bits of metal. They have people who drive them. There people have names: Max. Lewis. Kevin. They have personalities. They belong to teams.

They have stories to tell.

It does matter if they win or lose. And that's the point.

That's why our lives matter—we're more than coloured bits of atoms.

We have a soul. We have names. We have a story to tell. It does matter if we win or lose.

That's why Jesus comes into our world. To replace our broken lives with His life. To adopt us into Team Jesus.

To replace our story with His story—where Jesus' victory is our victory.

If Jesus is doing the driving, we'll be doing the surviving.
