A visionary movement emerged in the late 20th Century who were very optimistic about human nature, human potential and the future. They were called Extropians - for unlike the concept of entropy where things run down - extropians believed that things would continuously improve - extropy!

They claimed that ‘We can become whatever we want to be’, believing that humans could eventually abolish sickness, ageing, depression and even death itself.

But unfortunately they were never able to fulfil it. The Extropians all died and no matter how good humans are at extending and improving life, unfortunately we still suffer and die.

But the good news is that the extropian vision of eternal life is actually promised by Jesus. For Jesus offers those who believe in him a future without death, mourning, or crying or pain. The Extropian vision was Jesus’ vision all along!
