It is good to be happy. After all, happiness has been linked to a strengthened immune system, reduced stress and even a longer lifespan. It is understandable that for many people in our city, life is about chasing happiness. But should it be?
There are a growing number of voices who warn that chasing happiness is both impossible and unhealthy. Chasing happiness has been shown to offer diminishing returns in terms on how happy we are and the things we find happiness in don't last.
This talk consider the joy held out in the Bible and why it is better than the happiness we often pursue as Lachlan Orr helps us think through Psalm 126 and the source of lasting joy that the Bible holds out for us.
