The Wonder of Skipping Stones

How differently will we live if we know God is in control?
Topics

On a recent trip to New Zealand, I rediscovered the run of skipping stones. It still fascinates me—how do these stones bounce on the water?

How do they not sink?

Well, I can only imagine how amazed the people in the boat were when Jesus walked on water. Or rather, how scared they were! They thought He was a ghost!

But Jesus calms them and tells them not to be afraid.

After all, Jesus is God, and God is in control over every aspect of creation, including the water He walked on.

It still fascinates me—how did Jesus not sink?

And yet not one, but multiple historical records in the Bible from multiple authors record the incident.

If Jesus truly did walk on water, what other miracles are possible? How differently will we live if we know God is in control?
