What motivates you to get out of bed each day for work?
A friend of mine asked that question recently on social media
The most common response he got?
Coffee!
Now there are lots of good reasons to get up and work
So you can pay the bills
So you can feel a sense of satisfaction at completing a task
Even potentially leave behind a legacy
But there is one reason I think is more powerfully motivating than any of these
That is, love
Work gives us a chance to sacrificially love others through what we do and how we do it
This is precisely how God works
In everything He does He does it out of sacrificial love
A chance to work like the God of the universe works?
That’s a pretty powerful motivation for me
