Wanting To Be The Creator
I love the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise; in the recent film, the villain states:
"There is no god, so he had to step in."
Whoa...you can only imagine the outcome of that guy. Still, we've heard it before.
The brilliant scientist who thinks they have the solution to the ills of the world. Except...they eventually realise the task of creation is beyond their capabilities.
They prove they are not god in their quest to assert their intelligence and power.
This issue dates back to the beginning of time and finds its origins in the Bible. We can read about the Creator God, who made all mankind in His image, which means God's creation would want to create.
This desire manifests in art, food, clothing, housing and the sciences.
Yet, history proves itself, that God is the only one to get it right when it comes to creation.
