Sedition

Why do some see Christianity undermining public order?

In the first century, speaking about Jesus in public could be a dangerous exercise. The early disciples of Jesus faced opposition from both "church" and "state" - the Jewish and pagan religious authorities and the Roman secular authorities all tried to silence them.

In this talk, Michael Kellahan examines an event from the life of the early church where their message was understood to undermine public order.

Michael Kellahan trained as a lawyer and heads Freedom for Faith, a legal think tank that protects and promotes religious freedom in Australia and beyond.
