Ambition – for some it’s a dirty word
It conjures images of the “win at all costs” colleague, who’ll step on anyone, and do anything to get to the top.
But ambition is not inherently bad
Indeed if we are ambitious for a good thing – something that benefits or serves others – that kind of drive is commendable
For me Jesus is the perfect example of this kind of ambition
So ambitious was He to bring forgiveness and life to you and I He gave up His very life
A selfless rather than selfish ambition
Now that’s the kind of ambition I want to be motivated by
