Humanising the marginalised
Proverbs 22 says that Generous hands are blessed hands, because they give bread to the poor.
When people talk of the marginalised people in society, one thing that should be considered is the needs of those doing it tough.
Some may be in their position because of poor life choices. While others may find themselves without a home because of an unfortunate series of events.
Regardless of how they got there, it does not diminish their value.
The poor have been part of society throughout history. The Bible shares how we should treat the less fortunate, valuing their humanity and caring for our fellow human beings.
At the core of the Christian message is that humanity's value is not found in where people reside on earth, but in their relationship with God.
Those doing it tough do not need judgment, but help.
