How do we make sense of life?
Life can be confusing: sometimes it can feel random and out of control yet at other times beautiful and sublime.
We can experience immense beauty and feel connection with something bigger but then see awful suffering and feel that the world is just haphazard and cruel.
Is there a way in which we can make sense of it all?
Author of the Narnia Chronicles, CS Lewis moved from being an atheist to a Christian because he felt that the Christian faith made the most sense of life and of our human experience.
He felt it simultaneously explained our desire for rationality and imagination.
So he once wrote, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
