"Free" on Facebook Marketplace

What's the real cost?
Topics

I love shopping on Facebook Marketplace.

Finding an item, almost brand new, for a fraction of the price I was going to pay for it?

However, I usually begin all of my searches with one word: "free".

And yet, time and time again, I might click on an item, which is advertised for free, and discover that in fact, the owner does want money for it. They used the word "free" to get me to click.

It's often like that in life, isn't it? Nothing worth having really is free.

Which is why we can sometimes find it hard to believe the claims of Jesus: the free forgiveness and eternal life He offers.

Although actually, it does cost something.

It cost Jesus His very life.

But because He's already paid, it can be yours, for free.
