Why do Asians make me take off my shoes?

Spending time on the eternal
Mon 10 Apr 2023

Asians make you take off your shoes before you enter their house.

It's a good idea.

But here's the thing: you usually spend more on your shoes than your socks. Now you have to take off your $100 shoes and walk around their house in your $1 socks with holes.

It shows we've got things round the wrong way.

We should spend $1 on our shoes and $100 on our socks. Because they only see our socks, but not our shoes.

It's the same with life. We waste time and money on external things.

But people see who we are on the inside instead.

That's why God pours His Spirit into us. To fill us up from the inside-out. God fills us with His love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

We become more like Jesus. And this is what people see.

But you're still going to have to get rid of your socks with holes.
