One surprising part of the film was how it depicted an endearing immigrant journey. What this story made me think of was how the Bible depicts multiple stories of people coming from a foreign land in hope of a new life.
Through these stories in history, readers can see how God has compassion for the poor, afflicted and oppressed.
The immigrant's journey has been around since the beginning of humanity's existence. There have been many books, debates and films on the subject. But, what did Jesus have to say about it?
He claims that He came for the downtrodden of our world.
His story even incorporates an immigrant journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem to Egypt and back again.
It should be elementary for the followers of Christ to have a special, irrepressible desire to help the immigrants of this world.
