We’ve just had the Queen’s 70th Jubilee.
One of her employees recounts when he and the Queen were picnicking near Balmoral, her Scottish estate.
Two American hikers walked past and mentioned that because the Queen lived nearby maybe this old lady and her friend had met her.
The Queen said she had never met the queen, but that her friend had.
Cue gasps of surprise and lots of photos, and a final pic of the two hikers with the old lady for good measure.
Wonder what their friends said later looking at their travel photos.
It’s easy to get distracted by spiritual stuff like angels and prophets and miracles in the Bible, yet miss the star of the story – Jesus the king.
What a pity it would be if we ever crossed paths with him, but went on our way without recognising his majesty.
