Easter shows us the world is messed up.
Every year at New Year’s, there’s the promise of a fresh start. But by Easter, my life hasn’t gone anywhere. How can we ever break out of this?
Easter allows us to understand the world beyond what ‘mother nature’ throws at us. In this short talk Sam Chan helps us take a fresh look at how Easter reminds us that Jesus Christ the Son of God comes into our world of pain, hurt and suffering to meet people who are sick and diseased and broken. And he grieves with them. He’s angry at religious hypocrites. But he brings love, justice and hope to the world.
Take some time this Easter to pause, understand and reflect on how Easter can be our own rebirth, our own reboot. The very answer to what we are looking for in a re-boot.
