At the next meeting of the Bridge Fellowship in Sydney, we look forward to hearing from Peter King AO. Peter will be speaking on both Tuesday 4 June and Friday 7 June, with the latter meeting also available on zoom.
The youngest of four boys, Peter grew up in a small village in South Africa. After his father abandoned the family when he was just eight, Peter's focus was on supporting his mother. Starting as an office boy who hadn't completed school, Peter's skills didn't go unnoticed. His career would take him across Africa with Anglo American, to Europe as Executive Director Van Leer Group and eventually to Australia, where he served first as CEO John Fairfax Group and later as CEO Pratt Industries. Now 88, Peter is still active on three boards, having previously served as Chair of Opportunity International and World Vision. Peter is particularly passionate about serving those who are less fortunate and those facing persecution.
