Bridge Fellowship with Stan Smith
Pacific Equity Partners
126 Phillip Street, Sydney
We are very pleased to announce our next Bridge Fellowship* speaker, Stan Smith.
Former American professional tennis player, Stan Smith was world number one, Wimbledon (1972) and US Open (1971) singles champion. Alongside Bob Lutz, he created one of the most successful doubles teams of all time. Stan was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1987, served as its President for a number of years and is now a Life Trustee. Having reached such heights in his sporting career, it’s surprising that he is perhaps more known for the eponymous sports shoe, the Adidas Stan Smith. Over 100 million pairs of this fashion icon have been sold.
Come along and hear about the life, career and shoes of this 74 year old, father of four, grandfather of 16 when we interview Stan from his home in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Bridge Fellowship gathers and connects men around Australia to explore the intersection between life and faith. Open to all men regardless of their beliefs or background, we hear stories of adversity, courage, honesty, hope, failure and success.
Please join us!
If you are in Sydney, we invite you to join the zoom watch party from the Pacific Equity Partners boardroom. Enjoy a light breakfast from 7am. The zoom will commence at 7:30am.
* Please note, for a number of years our men's fellowship has operated under different names in our capital cities. Going forward, we shall refer to all the men's fellowship activities as Bridge Fellowship. It is both a nod to the founding movement (previously Bridge Street Fellowship) as well as expressing our desire that the men's fellowship acts as a safe space, a bridge between the business world and the arena of faith.
