Bridge Fellowship Hobart with John McCormack
Sypkes' offices - Level 5/85
Macquarie Street, Hobart
The Bridge Fellowship offers a place for guys to share their stories, experiences and reflections over breakfast, in a relaxed setting. We believe these conversations are increasingly rare, but all the more important and good for the soul.
This session we'll be hearing from Retired Policeman John McCormack*. He's had a decorated and colourful career, and will be sharing some stories from along the track.
In terms of breakfast, we use a couple of local business to cater for us. We have breakfast wraps/granola delivered from Macquarie Soul and fresh coffee from The Stagg. You can let us know what you'd like when you sign up and we'll have it ready when you arrive at the venue. Please register by Wednesday if you can (especially if you have dietary requirements), so we can place orders on Thursday morning.
You can arrive around 7:15am for a 7:30am start. We then finish at 8:30am sharp to allow plenty of time for getting to work. Further details for accessing the venue will be provided once you have registered.
Third Space has regularly been hosting men's breakfasts around the country. They are designed to create a space for men to share their stories of success, failure, hardship and hope intertwined with questions of life, faith and meaning. People from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of faith background, belief or worldview.
You can contact aaron.johnstone@thirdspace.org.au for further information.
*When this event was initially published we mistakenly listed John as a former Deputy Police Commissioner. John was quick to point out that he never served in that role and that his highest rank was Senior Sergeant. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused.
