Serving Others
I want to encourage you to see the film Bank of Dave, or research the inspirational story of Dave Fishwick in Burnley, England. The 'Dave' verse Goliath tale of one man's work to confront the banking system in England is so encouraging.
When you see someone overcome incredible odds and supporting the community he loves, this will profoundly affect your heart.
Now, most of us may never achieve something to the level of Dave's work. But...this shouldn't dissuade us from striving to do all we can to achieve life's goals and to help others along the way.
This man's story does show a Biblical principle of faithfully serving a community.
We can also read that Jesus' purposes in this world were not for His selfish gain, but to serve others with His life.
His example, along with Dave's, should inspire us to do all we can to help those in need and give back to society.
