The Celebrity

Was Jesus a celebrity like we think of them now?
Topics

One of my children has been playing sport and on their team is the child of someone who is well-known from a popular TV show, This particular show was the favourite of a friend of mineā€”so I texted them to say that I now saw this celebrity at my child's sporting game each week. They texted back to say,

"You're so lucky."

But unfortunately, this celebrity, whilst never rude, wasn't really that interested in me, my child or my life.

It made me wonder how 'lucky' I really was to be in the orbit of this media personality?

And it made me think that Jesus, who is far more famous and well-known than my celebrity acquaintance,

not only knows me, but loves me and laid His life down for me, to give me eternal life.

Which is far better than sitting near a celebrity at a junior sporting match.
