The other night, I was taking out the rubbish. But when I got to the front door, it was dark, it was cold, and it was wet outside. So, I decided: "I'll just leave the bag of rubbish outside the door and take it to the bin in the morning. Well, sure enough by the morning,

someone (or something) had been at the bag, picking at the scraps.

You know, sometimes in life, I'm like whatever critter it was that got into my garbage.

I settle for the scraps left outside when God says "Join Me" inside at His banquet table.

I go searching for ultimate pleasure and satisfaction in my work, my relationships, a particular experience...and all the while, God says:

"I'm offering you life to the full with Jesus."

So don't settle for the scraps left outside—I can assure you that critter didn't find anything worth keeping.
