Fathers Day is coming up soon
And believe it or not, I’m one of those Dads who actually loves to get a new pair of socks
You see when you wear a suit for work each day socks are one of the few items of clothing that allow you to express yourself
Show others something of who you are
So I’ve got donut socks, ice-cream socks, McDonalds socks…hmm I’m starting to notice a theme here
But look as a Christian I have an identity that is far richer than any pair of socks can ever display
The Bible teaches those who trust in Jesus are loved children of a God who is their ultimate Father
So as Fathers Day approaches that’s the identity I most want people to know
Although I wouldn’t mind a new pair of socks too
