City Legal’s inaugural National One-Day Conference will be held in late September this year. Lawyers from around the country will be gathering in our Nation’s Capital to hear from great speakers like David Robertson, Dan Anderson and John Bales (bios below). Along with talks, electives and devotions, delegates will be able to attend CPD accredited seminars.

The conference will begin at 6PM for dinner on Thursday 22 September, with a fireside chat with David Robertson speaking on Being the Good Guys(!). We’ll also be hearing David speak at a classic City Legal event on the Friday morning.

The registration cost of $185 includes:
Thursday - two course dinner
Friday - breakfast, lunch + morning/afternoon tea

David Robertson

David Robertson is an experienced presenter and debater on the place of the Christian faith in the public sphere, a prolific blogger at The Wee Flea and he was the minister at St Peter's Free Church in Dundee, Scotland for 27 years. Having come to Australia in 2019 to work with City Bible Forum, David now is employed by the Anglican Diocese of Sydney to help churches think about how they engage with their culture to communicate the good news of Jesus.

Dan Anderson

Dan is the Director (CEO) of the The Lachlan Macquarie Institute (LMI) based in Canberra, Australia. LMI seeks to train Christian men and women for wise leadership in politics and culture. Prior to LMI, Dan was chaplain to Robert Menzies College and served as the Anglican Chaplain to Macquarie University. Dan is completing a PhD at Macquarie Uni exploring the ethics of forgiveness in political contexts.

John Bales

John is married to Jan and they live in South West Sydney. After 13 years ministry in Pakistan with CMS John later joined CMS home staff. In his retirement, John is mentoring people seeking to plant multiplying churches, and to promote discipleship and church planting.
